BACKSTORY
Sayaka grew up in a yakuza family. His home was far from peaceful—his mother was harsh and emotionally distant, while his father was constantly occupied with clan affairs. The only warmth in his childhood came from spending time with his younger brother.
Everything changed one night.
He woke to the sound of his mother screaming, followed by gunshots. His family’s house had been set ablaze by an enemy seeking revenge against his father. Desperate to save his little brother, Sayaka fought through the flames, but the fire had already blocked the room. No matter how hard he tried, he was too young and too weak to reach him. Before firefighters rescued him, the flames left permanent burns across his face and back. His family did not survive.
After the tragedy, Sayaka moved in with his geandma. For years, he blamed himself for his brother’s death, believing he should have been able to save him. The guilt never truly faded, and the sight of fire still brings back the memories of that night.
As he grew older, Sayaka found it difficult to make genuine friends. Many people approached him only because of his family’s influence or for their own benefit, leaving him afraid to trust others. Instead, he devoted himself to training throughout his teenage years after he lost his first lover one, eventually becoming exceptionally strong.
